Do I get JPG or PNG?
Whichever you ask for. Say "as JPG" for smaller files that are fine for sharing and posting, or "as PNG" for a lossless copy with sharper text. JPG is the smaller of the two and PNG is the cleaner one.
What do I get for a document with several pages?
A ZIP file containing one image per page, numbered in order. A one-page document comes back as a single image with no archive around it.
What resolution are the images?
150 dots per inch, which is sized for screens — good for a slide, a web page or an email. It is below what a commercial printer would ask for, so this is not the route for something going to press.
Does it work on Word and PowerPoint too?
Yes. Any document is laid out to pages first and then each page is rendered, so a Word file gives you one image per page and a deck gives you one per slide.
Can it pull out the pictures that are already inside my PDF?
No — that is a different job and we do not do it. This renders each whole page as a picture; it does not extract the embedded photographs from inside the page.
Can I convert just some of the pages?
Yes. Say which pages in the sentence — "convert pages 1 to 3 to JPG" — and only those are rendered.
How big can my file be?
Up to 10 MB per file. A PDF longer than 20 pages is rendered up to its first 20 pages — 100 on a paying account — and the result tells you so.
Do you watermark the images?
No.
Can I go the other way — images into a PDF?
Yes, and the PDF you get back is searchable, because the images are read with text recognition on the way in. Upload the pictures and ask for a PDF.
Do I need an account?
No. Your first conversion runs without signing up.
